What's All the Howling & Meowing About?

The former Coal Baron Restaurant on Route 40 in Uniontown has been transformed into the beautiful new site of Ruffin' Around Resort & Day Spa. With the addition of overnight stays, Ruffin' Around will soon be every dog & cat's desired vacation destination! Our brand new facility hosts both doggy daycare participants as well as vacationing cats and dogs. Daycare dogs and overnight guests are housed in separate areas to maintain peace and tranquility.

Vacationing canines enjoy spacious, destination themed suites. Kitty guests are lodged in private rooms with great window views away from their barky counterparts. The facility has a large, indoor play area that can double as a training arena or other activity space when not being used for daycare. In addition, there are multiple outdoor play yards and potty areas for the dogs to burn off energy or stretch out and sunbathe. The new facility also includes a stocked kitchen to provide dine-in meals 3 times per day, as well as other room service requests for special treats. 

​No resort would be complete without a spa to provide bubble baths, pet massage, facials, pawdicures, and much more. Other amenities include daily housekeeping, raised beds, blankets and pillows for all non-destructive pets, a complimentary bath and themed souvenir for guests vacationing with us for 7 days or more. Additional upgrades include larger, private wing suites, family suites, interactive web cams, TVs, calming aides, excursions, activities, gourmet treats, and much more to make your pet's vacation unforgettable.

Because every resort guest's health and safety is our top priority, certain guidelines must be met prior to vacationing with us.

• All guests over 6 months must be spayed or neutered. While we regret excluding intact dogs and cats, we strive to provide the most relaxing vacation possible. Intact pets behave and smell differently than their altered counterparts and can cause unintentional stress for the majority of our resort guests.
• A flea preventative is mandatory for all. Every pet will be checked upon arrival. If fleas are found on your pet, treatment will be provided at your cost. Fleas are not welcome guests in our facility!
• A deposit is required to book your pet's reservation with us. The deposit will be applied to the balance due for your pet's stay. In the event you cancel your pet's reservation, your account will be credited, or deposit refunded. If you choose to credit your account you can use your credit on future stays, or any other product or service. This policy is meant to prevent last minute cancellations so that we can ensure availability to every guest wishing to vacation with us.
• Ruffin' Around requires proof of vaccinations prior to your pet's check-in date. All pets must appear healthy at check-in. For the safety of all other guests, we will not accept any pet who appears to be ill upon arrrival.
• To prevent stomach upset and diarrhea, Ruffin' Around requires owners to provide their pet's regular diet for the duration of the vacation.
