Our Story
Ruffin' Around Resort & Day Spa began in 2005 as the area's first doggie daycare facility. Since then, Ruffin’ Around has added training, in home pet sitting, boarding, grooming, and specialty pet products to its list of amenities, making Ruffin’ Around the ultimate pet resort.
In the ten years prior to starting Ruffin' Around, the owner, Lori Coffman, gained hands on animal care and training experience while employed at The Pittsburgh Zoo, SeaWorld of Ohio, and Clover Farm Veterinary Service.
Our entire staff is dedicated to the highest quality of care for every guest at our resort. In addition to being trained in pet first aid & CPR, employees participate in extensive training and continuing education courses offered by the pet care industry.

When not ruffin’ around, Lori enjoys spending time outdoors, shopping, doing yoga, watching movies, reading, and crafting. In addition, she is a certified Pet First Aid & CPR instructor who loves chocolate and specialty coffees.
Laura with her dog, Star, and cat, Boots.
Laura - Reservation Specialist
Pack member since 2008.
When not ruffin’ around, Laura is busy being the mother of 3 boys. She enjoys chocolate, reading, visiting new places, party planning and spending time with family and friends.
Courtney with her dog, Joe. Not pictured is Noodle, her leopard gecko and her cat, Butters.

When not ruffin’ around, Courtney loves American Traditional style tattoos, baking, and playing video games.

Pack member since 2020.
When not ruffin’ around, Jerika loves to hang out with her pack of dogs, rabbits, and guinea pig. She loves drawing and listening to music.
GreenLee with her dogs, Loki and Bentley.
GreenLee - Kitty and Canine Coordinator
Pack member since 2022.
When not ruffin’ around, GreenLee is studying Social Work at Pennwest University California, hanging out with her friends, spending time at the gym, working at Sheetz, or playing with her dogs.

When not ruffin’ around, Tamara enjoys painting, shopping, training her dogs and taking them on hikes.

Journey found us in June 2018. Her favorite activities include filing, cuddling, and getting into trouble.
Tumbleweed - Official Greeter
Tumbleweed found us in August 2018. Her favorite activities include typing, talking, and mealtime.
